\\#3 Playing With Fire;
Rated: 5/5 Stars
Most Exciting Scene: Bruce's birthday party at the end where he gets pizza shoved into his face, a pitcher of soda thrown on him, and falls into an artificial waterfall. That's excitement right there.
Most Touching Scene: Hmmm...let's be literal and say it was the scene at Secca Lake with Bruce and Jessica swimming and he unties her bathing suit top. I always liked that scene.
Most Ridiculous Scene: The change in Jessica's behavior. Not really a specific scene I can pinpoint.
Most Frustrating Scene: The whole thing with cheating on Russo's test. Bruce tells her exactly how to do it without getting caught. The bitch is so lazy, not only does she get somebody else to steal, she can't even be bothered with studying it. She gives it to somebody else to study and copies off of her?! Maybe this should qualify as the most ridiculous, I don't know. She's an idiot.
Most Upsetting Scene: I've never liked how Jessica treated Robin, but Robin does sort of bring it on herself by following her everywhere.
Most Entertaining Scene: I was entertained with Jessica and Bruce. A quote for example:
"Maybe I would if my name were Patman," (Ken) answered. "Are you sure you didn't threaten to sick your dad on this guy."
"Now, would I do a thing like that?" Bruce asked with mock indignation. "I'm too nice a guy to stoop to that, wouldn't you say, Jessica?" He squeezed her around the waist.
A long silence followed as everyone in the group waited for Jessica's reply. Finally, realizing all eyes were upon her, she snapped out of her daydream. "Oh, am I supposed to say something?" she asked.
It doesn't get much better than that. ^_^
Favorite Character in the Book: Bruce. Ah...Bruce...how I love thee...
Least Favorite Character in the Book: I'm not going to say Jessica, because watching her act all stupid is rather amusing. So I 'm going to say.....no one. I like everybody. ^_^
Notable conspiracies: Jessica is always described and put down by Liz for being a gossip, and Liz acts like she's all above that. But, you know, she writes a gossip column. Alas:
The halls are buzzing with the news of a hot and heavy thing going on between Lila F. and a certain blond football player. Chalk up one more for Lila.... Three cheers for Lois W.! John P. showed up at her party. Gues somtimes dreams do come true.... Bill C.'s found another surf bunny... Enid R.'s packing up her suitcases for another weekend visit with G.W.--forth in a row, but who's couting?... Cara W. has her eye on a basketball-playing senior. Maybe she can get him interested in something besides dribbling!... Danger: Toni J.'s now on the roads. Pedestrians beware....
That's rather inconsistant. And I don't like the way she writes. If it were me, I'd be using Adjectives(!) rather than names moreso. It's too blatant, I think.
Additional Comments: Surprising, how this book is one of my favorites, it took me three weeks to read it. The books were so much better in the beginning! Oh why did they have to change them!!! All in all, a wonderful book for us in the anti-Jessica realm and those who adore Bruce and his utter assholedom. Ja ne!
